Karen Fishel

Bio

Karen graduated from NC State University with a B.S. in Animal Science and a minor in Agriculture Business Management. After graduation, she went back home to the family business of meat and food sales in Kernersville, NC. She then made the decision to pursue her Master’s degree to focus on the profession of Human Resources. She received her Master’s degree in Business Management from High Point University. In 2004, she earned the prestigious accreditation of Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR). She has been a Human Resources professional for 30 years. Her family also owns and operates Windmill Acres Farm, a Hereford beef cattle operation in Forsyth County. It is a cow/calf operation along with a freezer beef sales business. Karen and her husband Neil both are NCSU Alumni along with 2 of their 3 children. She is also the author of the recently published novel and Audible, Say I Won’t, a nonfiction work.
