Chris Smith

Bio

I grew up in Michigan and after college in 1976 began a career in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs and quality assurance first as an Investigator with the US FDA in Detroit then in Washington, DC in the FDA’s Offices of Legislative Affairs and Public Affairs. I moved to the private sector as a Director with Abbott Laboratories in Chicago, IL then AAIPharma in Wilmington, NC. I spent the final 12 years of my 47-year career as an independent consultant assisting pharmaceutical companies worldwide interacting with the FDA. I’ve owned a small “gentleman’s” farm in Burgaw, NC since 1992 and raised horses, cattle, goats, chickens, and turkeys. I retired on the farm in 2023 where I share my life with my lovely wife Jacqueline. Life is good.
