Bio
Roger is a native of Thomasville, NC and currently resides in Greensboro. He was a founding member of this Board in 2006 and has remained a member as By-Laws allowed since its inception. He also served on the Tobacco Foundation Board for numerous years until it merged with the Ag Foundation. He was awarded the Outstanding Ag & Life Science Alumnus in Crop Science at NCSU in 2011.
Roger began his career at Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp (B&W) in 1981 and held several positions in R&D, including Director of Product Development. He joined RJ Reynolds (RJR) in 2004 as Vice-President of Product Development following the merger of B&W and RJR. Following his tenure at RJR, he worked as a consultant in agronomy, product development, and other technical areas for several years. Roger joined ITG Brands as Manager of Leaf Sustainability in 2016 and was Director of Product Development & Science when he left the company in 2022. In 2023, he served as a consultant for Labstat International, focusing on agrochemical residue testing. Roger is currently a member of the Board Of Directors for Cabaccis, Inc. He spends his spare time volunteering with several organizations in Greensboro, traveling, and supporting the PACK!
