Michelle Patterson, her husband, Doug, her brother-in-law, Randall, and sister-in-law, Nora Patterson, own and operate Patterson Farm, Inc., a commercial fruit and vegetable farm, packing, and wholesale distribution center in China Grove, NC; Patterson Farm Market & Tours, Inc. and Patterson Repack. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. She met her husband Doug in the strawberry patch. They have three daughters, (a pair and a spare) twins Claudia & Victoria and Chloe. Victoria is a December 2019 graduate of NC State in Ag Business Management and is now working at the NCDA&CS with Annie Baggett on the Visit NC Farms App and as QC & Shipping Manager at Patterson Farm, Inc. Claudia is a December 2020 Graduate of NC State majoring in Pulp and Paper Science and Chemical Engineering and is employed with Solenis. Chloe is a Junior at NC State University majoring in Polymer and Color Chemistry with minors in Biological Sciences and Genetics. Go Pack!

Michelle’s title is Director of Fun. She manages the retail and agritourism operations at Patterson Farm Market & Tours, Inc. including the retail produce market, gift and ice cream shop, educational tours, weekend events and special activities for families. Michelle served as Chair of the Rowan County Tourism Development Authority for 3 years, as a member of the Salisbury Tourism and Cultural Development Commission, Elementary, Middle, and High School PTA’s, the Rowan County United Way and Rowan County Chamber Board.  She is also active in the community serving on the Rowan County Chamber Ag Committee which hosts an annual Art & Ag Farm Tour and an Ag Awareness Breakfast. She also serves on the Novant Hospital Board, the Salisbury YMCA Board and Rowan Cabarrus Community College Board.
