Bio
Karen LeVert is a native of Johnstown, Ohio. She began her career at Nationwide Insurance holding positions of increasing responsibility from computer programmer to controller, to general manager of a 500-person service center. She then began her entrepreneurial pursuits, launching 2 start-ups before co-founding Southeast TechInventures and Ag TechInventures, innovation labs focused on commercializing university technologies. She’s currently a Managing Partner of LeVert Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in early stage AgTech. LeVert Ventures is a Specialized Fund of Pappas Capital. Karen serves as a board member for the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina Arboretum, AgLaunch, and LCBA Life Insurance Company.
