Doug Edgeton

Bio

Doug has extensive executive-level experience in health care from major academic medical centers, research development and business administration. He held senior executive, administrative, and financial roles while at Wake Forest University. Prior to joining Wake Forest University, Doug served in central administration and hospital administration for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With his strategic planning processes and business management experience, Doug became President of Piedmont Triad Research Park in 2007. Following his 5 years in this role, Doug became Executive Vice President, Administration at Wake Forest Baptist Health. In 2012, he became Senior Vice President, Financial Planning and Development at North Carolina Biotechnology Center where he now serves as President and CEO.
