Bio
Dr. Lackey came to NCSU in 1983 from Michigan State University. At NCSU she attained the rank of full professor and was an Extension Specialist in the Cooperative Extension Service, a position which she loved. She contributed many hours of Agent Inservice Education programs. She co- develop programs supporting consumer food preservation, nutrition, food safety, and children’s food and nutrition education. Those included The NOTEBOOK of Food and Food Safety Information (question and answer information for agents) and Read Me A Story (children’s learning experiences in food and nutrition that accompanied 16 published children’s books) and many consumer Fact Sheets and Bulletins.
