Bio

Alan leads the technical delivery of ZERO by 40 and drives the delivery of the Vector Expedited Review Voucher (VERV) through US law. He also provides regulatory expertise and counsel to IVCC.

Alan has over 30 years’ experience in the agricultural crop protection industry, at Bayer CropScience and its predecessor companies.  Alan began his career in 1985 in product development and later moved into the environmental affairs department as the Technical Issues/Stewardship Manager.  He then joined the global regulatory team and later transferred to Lyon, France, accepting the position of Global Regulatory Team Lead for the herbicide and fungicide team.  Alan became the Global Regulatory Manager and Team Lead for Insecticides. He returned to the USA in 2001, accepting the position of Director of Environmental Affairs and then Director of Stakeholder Relations in the NAFTA Bayer CropScience headquarters located in Research Triangle Park.  His group was responsible for stakeholder and industry relations.
