Ishani Patel

Bio

Ishani is a sophomore majoring in Applied Nutrition from Cary, NC. She currently works as a Medical Assistant at a primary and urgent care clinic. After graduation, she aspires to go to Physician Assistant school. One of Ishani’s favorite parts about working as a Medical Assistant has to be that she is able to feel rewarded about her patient interactions, knowing that she has made an impact on an individual. In addition to working as a Medical Assistant, she is involved in a few activities on campus. Ishani is the Director of Engagement of the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative and she is also the secretary of MedLife. In addition to these extracurricular activities, Ishani serves as a Class Assistant in the Life Sciences First Year Program and she is a part of the University Scholars Program on campus. Ishani is also a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-health honor society. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, as well as shopping.
